Just back from training on the SRB's. They are a nice ski. I was out with Alex who was on 610's and PJ on Eagle training skis. The SRB's were faster than both of these - especially on the rough. I think the slightly higher speed is good and actually makes them feel more ski like. I like the way the ski is lowered, again making it more like a ski, with a low centre of gravity.

On the rough tarmac the SRB's are amazing, you hardly notice the bumps, and the rattle sound you get from other skis isn't there. I was surprised at how good they were considering they are metal. This is what makes them an ideal training ski as they can handle going out on the back roads. The smoothness they provide again makes them more ski like.

I tried them out at high speed as well, again excellent, and as the skis are metal you can really transfer a lot of power into the wheels, so getting up to speed isn't a problem. I think a mixture of that and the fact the wheels are a little faster makes them faster than other training skis.

We have noticed whilst training in Torsby at the ski tunnel, that if you ski on snow then come out and go straight onto roller skis, roller skis are much much slower and you get a braking effect. (Feels like the skis stop but your body keeps on going). In the summer you don't notice this because you never swap between the two. But I think the SRB's will be closer to actual ski speed than 610's.
