Highlights of rollerskiing in 2013

Another busy year in the world of rollerskiing. We introduced more people to rollerskiing in more places than ever before, with many skiers taking on exciting challenges on rollerskis and on snow. Across the country numbers rollerskiing have grown, with members of the GB XC ski team impressing the world -

JANUARY
Lots of skiers at Hyde Park and Dorney Lake courses
Good snowfall meant good skiing on Hampstead Heath (below with Mantas)
GB cross-country skier Andrew Musgrave finishes 4th in the World U23 Championships

FEBRUARY
Ski marathon seasons reaches its peak, with skiers racing around the world
First rollerski course takes place at Redbridge Cycle Circuit in Essex

MARCH
Instructors Alan and Iain take part in the Engadin Skimarathon, in a field which included over 150 British finishers - results - including Pippa Middleton - pictures

APRIL
Powerslide introduces X-Plorer Classic, multi-terrain classic rollerskis - news

SEPTEMBER
Roy Young, coach of the GB cross-country ski team, runs masterclass in Hyde Park
GB Rollerski Championships take place at Castle Combe, Wessex - results  
Fiona Crossley wins the Ladies' series title for an unprecedented 10th consecutive year
Hector Cowie of CBNSC becomes British Mens Rollerski Champion abd David Horsley is Series Champion. Mel Vaggers of Exeter University OTC is Ladies Rollerski Champion, 2013.

OCTOBER
GB biathlete Lee Jackson stars in Dunhill video
British Nordic Ski Team launches 'Crowdfunding' initiative, raising over £7k for the team

NOVEMBER
Posy Musgrave, Callum Smith, Andrew Young and Andrew Musgrave reach the qualifying standard for the GB Olympic Cross-Country Ski Team
